Employment Compensation Increases

9550229_sSUMMARY: The limits on compensation for unfair dismissal claims and statutory redundancy payments will increase from 1 February 2013.

Employment Tribunal compensation limits will increase from 1 February 2013 in the following way:

Minimum basic award for certain unfair dismissals  (dismissals for reason of trade union membership or activities, health and safety duties, pension scheme trustee duties or acting as an employee representative)

£5,300

If an employee is unfairly dismissed, the new figures will apply where the date of dismissal falls on or after 1 February 2013.
